The Shugborough Estate boasts 22 acres of formal Grade One listed gardens and parkland with eight follies of national importance including an early Chinese house and a mysterious coded monument reputed to lead to the Holy Grail. The Great Yew is believed to be the widest tree in Europe. Garden highlights include vast swathes of riverside daffodils in spring, lavender and roses on the terraces in summer, and a riot of autumn colour on the parkland paths. At its centre is a fine Mansion House, Servants’ Quarters, and newly restored walled garden growing historic varieties of fruit and vegetables.
